AUG 12, 24 ( 1 / 2 ) .. RABBITS HERE IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA..

This will be Part 1 of a 2 part Post showing some photos of 'wild' Rabbits here around our Condo as well as elsewhere in Anchorage. 

With no further 'fanfare', here we go with some Winter photos of 'Our Rabbit' that we see outside of our Condo.

Instead of calling him 'Our Rabbit' we are going to call him Peter Rabbit.

Peter Rabbit is a fictional character in various children's stories by Beatrix Potter, an English author. Peter Rabbit is a mischievous, adventurous young rabbit. Peter first appeared in her book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published in 1902. Then he appeared again in five more of her books.

Peter was joined in her animal books by Benjamin Bunny and Squirrel Nutkin (and trust us!) many more.

Beatrix Potter passed away at the age of 77 on December the 22nd 1943 in England. 

Below is a photo of Peter taken during the warm weather. This photo will 'orient you' to the location of the Winter photos.

These photos were taken November 6, 2022 just before we headed South to Arizona for the winter.

Patti and I were sitting in our Condo living room and suddenly Patti said .. "Look at the rabbit!"

I jumped up and snapped away!

The next series of photos were taken out in front of our Condo during the past several weeks.

Yes indeed! Below you see two rabbits. Are they a 'Couple'?

We don't have a clue if they are a 'Couple'. 

In fact can't say for sure IF 'Our Peter Rabbit' is one of them.

Moving right along, below IS 'Our Peter Rabbit'.

Patti snapped these photos from our Condo bedroom window.

Peter has seen enough of us that he has no 'noticeable fear' of us.

It seems like he recognizes us.

In the below photo, Peter seems to be 'closely watching me'!

Patti called out to me from our bedroom window that Peter seemed to be interested in me. 

So I walked over to 'check Peter out'.

Peter was calm, cool and collected.

Dad, if you don't mind I am going to 'stretch out' and relax.

I don't know what you are doing Dad, but is sure doesn't affect me at all!

AUG 11, 24 ( 3 / 4 ) .. PATTI'S FLOWERS .. SUMMER 2024..

Well here we are! It was two weeks ago (July 27th and 28th) that Patti and I 'rolled up our sleeves' and planted flowers out on our porch for the first time in two years.

Neither Patti nor I know 'what happened' last year but we didn't have flowers on our porch.

So this is an 'update' showing how our flowers are doing!

Hello.. Hello.. Mister Weed.. You are thriving. 

Mister Weed was the only green object in the boxes on the porch before the flower project began. Patti was impressed with his tenacity and urged that he be retained!

Mister Weed has a shadow we get a kick out of seeing.

There you have it. The current 'State of Affairs' of our wonderful porch flowers!

Over and over and yes over again, Patti keeps saying how much she is enjoying our flowers.

AUG 10, 24 .. NATIONAL TODAY .. LAZY DAY..

If 'blogspot' were a 'living being' it would be very VERY happy that all of a sudden he is getting some back to back to back daily activity!

NATIONAL TODAY..

Some 'Days' are good and some 'Days' are better and some 'Days' really fit. Todays National "Day" really fits 'Yours Truly'.

After all of the drama with out dotnet website I need a break!

Your Captain needs a lazy day and here it is IF only in name.

In today’s plugged-in world, we often find ourselves wishing for a day when we didn’t have to do anything.

Nothing at all. Not even the tiniest bit of work.

In other words, we long for a lazy day. And yet, when we set aside a day to do nothing, we find it difficult to actually be lazy — as if we’re hardwired to do something, even if we don’t really need to do anything.

Let’s put a stop to that. August 10 is the day to do it. Or not do it.

It’s National Lazy Day. And it’s glorious.

Lazy Day 2024 is the best day to celebrate your inner couch potato by just ignoring all your daily work routine and doing nothing the whole day long.

This day, just lay back on your couch, give your T.V. remote control some exercise, and do enjoy a well deserved rest.

Couch potatoes, lazy bums, and slackers, we’d tell you to celebrate National Lazy Day on August 10, but you can go ahead and be lazy about it.

The origins of National Lazy Day are unknown. We did our research but got lazy and didn’t dig deeper. Perhaps the creators of this holiday were too lazy to pen down the inspiration behind it. The only thing we know is that it is zealously celebrated on August 10 by not being overly zealous.

The whole point of National Lazy Day is to be a lazy good-for-nothing and just relax. Today is the one day nobody can call you out for staying in bed all day or lounging on the couch in front of the television, munching on snacks. We are not telling you to get out of your literal comfort zone but a few add-ons could keep you entertained, like playing the 2010 song by Bruno Mars, titled ‘The Lazy Song,’ or grabbing a copy of “The Myth of Laziness” by Mel Levine to better understand and debunk myths surrounding laziness and its impact on our productivity.

As much as it is frowned upon, laziness can actually be a blessing. At times it is not that a person is lazy, it is that they’d rather prefer to save their energy for things that are really important. Lazy people are usually well-rested and reap the benefits of getting sufficient sleep — this includes improved memory, decreased stress, a greater attention span, and decreased inflammation.

The best part about laziness is that you are less likely to experience burnout. Being lazy allows the body to rejuvenate and restore its balance and energy. Burnout can lead to insomnia, depression, and chronic fatigue.

National Lazy Day doesn’t have too many traditions, as people are too lazy to come up with any activity that can be made into a tradition. Take a break, laze around, and give your mind a rest. Many people glorify hustle culture, but it is good to be lazy once in a while and take the time to reflect and really think about things, otherwise, there is the risk of burning out.

Today can also be used as the ideal excuse as to why the dishes are not done, why the garbage is not taken out, or why any other errand has not been completed. For once, laziness is the answer!

Plan something (and by something — we mean nothing)

Don't plan anything. Be lazy. Wake up. Then go back to bed. Then get out of bed. Or stay there. Just don't do anything. It's National Lazy Day! Enjoy!

Find a lazy river upon which to float lazily.

Park yourself inside a cushy inner tube and let the river take you downstream.

Turn your phone off.

Although sitting around doing nothing but checking our phones for text messages or Facebook notifications may seem like a lazy thing to do, it's not. It's far too active a thing for National Lazy Day.

At the end of yesterday's Post I wrote.. 

Tomorrow morning, Friday the 9th, at 8 o'clock in the morning in the East, I am going to try again to get Midphase on the phone to discuss this issue.

Today, August 9th, 2024.

We later learned that Midphase was purchased by another firm. In the transition we lost some of our dot.net Posts!

This morning, I was up bright and early! I was ready to discuss this with Midphase, the firm that "Hosts" our dotnet website.

Just getting in touch with someone at Midphase is quite a task but I finally managed to do so. I was on the phone with Midphase for a little over one full hour. 

To begin with Midphase, Daniel Nwandu, told me on "Live Chat" (are your ready for this? I was NOT!) .. 

Your account was not suspended it was pointed to our old server, due to your DNS was not pointed our new server, I have pointed your DNS to our new server, just a moment while I check your ssl

It then "went downhill" because, in spite of what this, super high tech information technology geek said, each of my four smart phones keep showing the below information!

The two of us never quite got this enormous difference of opinions resolved!

I just wrote and published a short post on dotnet. Please, please, don't ask me what happened. Daniel may have done "something" that he didn't explain to me!

Bottom Line. My webmaster Andrej is going to spend some (I'll assume) considerable time this weekend working on these difficult, high tech, issues.

We had "A Streak" of 688 days going publishing a Post each and every single day.

God and Patti and I all know that we published Posts on dotnet each day from AUG 1 to AUG 8, 24. They, at least for now, are gone, have totally disappeared.

Saturday, August the 10th, 2024.. Today Andrej our webmaster was able to very successfully 'iron out' some further 'issues' that were created by this Midphase nightmare. So this will conclude, at least 'for now', any further updates about this issue.

Several of our "faithful" who follow Patti and me over on our dotnet website, including Olga, from Chita, in Russia, contacted me to ask ..

"What happened to your dotnet website?"

I took a look and..

When what to my wondering eyes should appear but the below notices..

Long story short.

I called Andrej our webmaster and we discussed the situation.

The problem was, when I called Andrej, it was after 8 o'clock in the evening back in the Eastern Time Zone. 

Midphase our website hosting service, closes at 5 o'clock. 

I got online into my Midphase Account.

1. I owe no money.

2. My autopay credit card has not expired and is fully functional.

3. No where on my Midphase Account, was there one word, not even one teeny, weeny, itsy, bitsy, hint that anything was wrong.

Tomorrow morning, Friday the 9th, at 8 o'clock in the morning in the East, I am going to again try to get Midphase on the phone to discuss this issue.
