DEC 24, 11 .. GOA .. ARAMBOL BEACH .. CHRISTMAS ..

I will be attending church services this evening at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church here in Arambol .. so I decided to slip in some more photo of the church .. What a DIFFERENCE camera positioning and lighting can make.. in the below photo you can CLEARLY see the statue of Jesus that sits out in front of the church.. in FWIW.. 82.. if you look at the very bottom photo of the church .. you can not easily distinguish them apart .. what a magnificent Church ..

Now go up the stairs .. and turn to your right and walk about ten paces and turn around and you will have the view you see in the photo below.. this CLEARLY shows the separate monument in front of the church ..

Now walk straight ahead .. past the monument of Jesus .. and into the shady quiet area behind him and you will be in Carmel Garden .. Peace and Joy .. I sat on this bench in the photo below and spoke with Patti on my cell phone .. and told Patti that I would send a photo of the lovely bench .. so here it is .. with love..

 And here is the bench with the name of the lovely and quiet garden area you are now in ..

Now we take a long walk 180 degrees behind us and go out into the enormous soccer field and playground .. and walk across it . and then look back at a side view of Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School .. more continues to be revealed ..

So we now know it is much more than an elementary school .. it goes all the way up the grades ..

Now we turn 90 degrees to our right and walk to the edge of the playground shown above and we find Mount Carmel GardenS (as opposed to Mount Carmel Garden in the bench in photo 4 above) .. beyond the below sign and gate are living quarters and (according to the sign) an open air dance floor .. I made the photo maximum size so hopefully you can read the sign .. can you ? .. now the TRUTH IS OUT.. the ROMAN CATHOLICS DID NOT coin the phrase .. "We do not have sex standing up BECAUSE somebody might think we are dancing !" .. I will not name the protestant demonation that prohibits dancing because I don't want to embarrass any friends of mine.. I may walk back and get a close up shot of this sign.. it just SLAYS me and tickles me .. oh my the friction between the various Christians (look at Ireland as a for instance)..

 Well I DID IT .. took a break .. a quick 30-minute trip to the church and back and NOW WE KNOW.. we know WHY the Roman Catholics have large families .. they APPROVE DANCING ..

OK turn around and see the size of the play field .. it is enormous ..

And I am very happy to tell you that this lovely play ground IS USED..

You have to realize that I pass Mount Carmel Church and Mount Carmel School almost daily as I walk into Arambol Village to mail post cards and to shop in the village as opposed to the Beach .. and I love the church .. so I am always attentive to things going on there .. and I do stop to relax in the garden area .. and will be at mid-night mass this Christmas Evening .. "We don't have sex standing up because someone might think we are dancing !" .. I love that line .. (oh captain what are we gonna do witch you) ..

Well .. on my walk .. guess what I found .. TROUBLE IN RIVER CITY  BIG TIME .. Jesus spoke of the Money Changers IN the temple and NOW THIS .. here in India.. here in Goa.. here in Arambol Village.. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church ON church grounds no less ..RAMPANT COMMERCIALISM AT CHRISTMAS HAS HAPPENED ..

  AND .. I was deeply touched by the little boy and his 'wares' .. he ran off when I stopped to photograph him and his tender items for sale .. and YES .. you ask me .. "Cap.. what is it again that you LOVE so much about India ?" ..
