In this post I will show some photographs of various other scenes as well as some additional photographs of the Falls themselves.
I will start off with a few photographs of the below memorial.

Now we move in closer.
I am missing something here but I am not sure what I am missing. Do any of you know-the-feeling? What exactly is the memorial about?
I still have-no-clue BUT to say this .. the memorial is very nice to look at and to admire.
Now I will jump back to some photos of the river. The bridge you see in the background goes from Canada (on the left) across to the United States (on the right). Do you see the small boat .. on the river .. to the left of the vertical greenish structure? This is one of a fleet of boats titled generally as Maids Of The Mist.
Below are a few photographs of these small sightseeing boats used to ferry visitors right up to the base of the American Falls and to the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side of the river.
The boat below is of a different fleet-of-boats.
Below I captured the two of them .. one going to the Horseshoe Falls and one returning.
The three photos immediately below are showing the boats as they navigate the river in front of the American Falls.
The boats that you see in the photos below are in front of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
Now for some photographs of general scenery along the river as you walk along and totally enjoy the enormous spectacle of Niagara Falls.

A Bucket List is a list of things you want-to-do before you kick-the-bucket.
Kick-The-Bucket? .. To die .. To pass on .. To kick-the-bucket!
"Where was I ?" .. "Got it !" .. "Captain just throw up some photos here and Captain .. get-on-with-the-getting on here my good man !"
If you look really really closely at the below photo .. almost in the dead center .. way far in the background .. in front of the tan colored building .. you can see our GMC Suburban Black Beauty looking at us. You cannot see Patti who was waiting for me as she looked-out for parking-meter police.
Speaking of the parking-meter police .. can you see what parking costs at the Falls ?
I mean .. are you all getting-the-picture here ? The Niagara Falls scene is one of total absolute beauty !
The city .. The tall buildings .. The buses .. all that I could see was .. Beauty !
The Skylon Tower is the Niagara Falls version of the Seattle Space Needle .. Bring-Money .. Ride-On-Up ..
"Did we really need two photos Captain ?" .. "HUSH committee-inside-of-my-head ! If I stop I will lose-my-nerve !"
Truly the Skylon Tower kind-of-oversees the local scene ! Is this three-and-out for Skylon Tower photos ?
Nope ! I found yet-another photo of The Skylon Tower ! In the photo above .. and in the photos below .. you also see one of the MAJOR shopping and dining areas along the river.
Just the two very ordinary scenes below are beautiful !

OH YES ! Yes indeed ! Even in the non-peak tourist season .. people still visit THE FALLS.
But to quote our friend 'Zilla .. It is NIFTY when you are NOT overwhelmed with visitors.
Now because this IS A PROGRAM OF HONESTY ! I don't want to totally mislead you .. there were certainly a respectable number of visitors to THE FALLS.
The water on the sidewalk below is NOT from rain. It is from spray coming from the Falls.
Patti and I have been to The Falls at night. Below is a photograph of one of several light-banks that illuminate The Falls in different colors at night.

Well .. That-Is-That .. for our visit to Niagara Falls. Patti and I plan to re-visit The Falls as we drive home heading West in a week or so and I plan to shoot more photographs.
The Falls are like the Taj Mahal .. calling to me .. ever calling to me ..

Changed quite a bit since I was there in 1973. I don't recognize any of those buildings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking this Post over Gullible. I wonder IF perhaps .. even Moose Pass has changed since 1973? The entire Niagara Falls area by the river seems to be brand new and spic-and-span.
DeleteWhat a day yesterday ended up being when SUDDENLY I could do absolutely nothing to continue to post photographs. Not only could I do nothing with my limited-abilities but the staff at the library themselves could do nothing. We even went from the PC Windows format to the Apple Mac format .. nothing. I could .. and was able to .. work with text comments. Just NO PHOTOGRAPH uploading.
Ah yes .. just another day on-line using computer facilities that I do not own nor have I seemingly much-control-over. At least what I had finished did get fully posted. Smiles .. Cap ..
