Over on our website that we call dotnet, I have posted a number of photos showing some of the snow that still remained on the ground around our Anchorage Condo as of this past Thursday.
Below are several of the photos showing the snow on the ground just two days ago, Thursday, the 11th of May. As I write now, all of the snow you see below has disappeared (it evaporates as opposed to melting).
No I am not talking about a lot of snow. But here we are, approaching the middle of May, with "some snow" still on the ground.
There is still a lot of snow on the mountains and it is beautiful to view as you drive here in the city.
We will "wrap up" the photos of the snow on the mountains surrounding Anchorage in Part 2.
