Directly across the street from my hotel here in Kyzyl ( КЫЗЫЛ ), is an amazing Russian Orthodox Church. I plan to do another Post just on this church.
Come to think of it, I can't recall seeing very many Russian Orthodox Churches in my lifetime that I don't think are amazing.
As I was doing my photo shoot of the church, I happened-upon a very small, very simple and basic monument.
When I explored it further, I learned that it was a Monument to the First Russian Teachers of Tuva Republic.
So I added a photo shoot of the little monument to my above project taking photos of the church.
The tender little monument was very happy to get some attention.
Below you see the Russian Orthodox Church and its location relative to the monument.
In the above and below photos, you see the signs for the bus stop directly across the street from my hotel.

Much Joy and Happiness as each of you experiences the Holiday Season which is upon us.

What a tender monument to the first Russian teachers of the Republic of Tuva. Teachers are SO important in our lives and they seldom get the recognition they deserve. Good for Tuva to have this monument. We get a much deeper feeling for another country WHEN WE ARE ACTUALLY THERE, and you are. I appreciate being brought into this deeper feeling. Yes, Russian Orthodox Churches are universally very beautiful, and the one across the street from your hotel is no exception! Nice post. Love, Patti
ReplyDeleteWell just look at you My Dear One! Congratulations on getting another comment to post here on blogspot! It is so frustrating, and I speak from my own actual experience, to lose a comment or to lose anything such as an e-mail when you are on-line.
ReplyDeleteYes teachers (I can still name my elementary school teachers) are so very important to us. Russia and its individual citizens have done so much for the Republic of Tuva and, for that matter, some other neighboring countries. I include those who carry the message of recovery to those who want it. Love back to you. Cap
Glad they kept all the beautiful Orthodox Churches intact
