OCT 15, 16 .. DUBAI'S MALL OF THE EMIRATES & SKI DUBAI

"Well! What have we here Captain? Another mall in Dubai?"

"Yes. And another famous, well known mall at that."

To begin this Post, I must first introduce all of you to a most special friend and associate of mine here in Dubai. I want all of you to meet Ahad. Without Ahad this Post would not have happened. It was Ahad who, on his own time, after his working hours were completed, took me by-the-hand and showed me how to use the Dubai Buses. 

"Cap you get the C1 bus. You get off at the second bus stop which will be the Union Metro Station." 

Then how to use the Dubai Metro to get to the Emirates Mall.

It was Ahad who showed me how to purchase a Dubai Metro System 'nol card'.

I cannot imagine getting around on the buses and metro without a 'nol card'.

Ahad is a fount of knowledge as well as a spiritual Eskimo for me!

Ahad is the Rayna Tour Director here in my hotel.

Where on this good Earth do 'we' all come from to get to Dubai?

THE REST OF THE STORY ..

If I came to Dubai for one reason, and for one reason alone, it was because I wanted to see the Dubai Snow Skiing attraction.

Ski Dubai is located in Mall of the Emirates!

And thanks 100% to Ahad, I have now found Ski Dubai.

With the good news, I found Ski Dubai, comes reality. 

The cost, just to enter Ski Dubai, begins at US $68.49, UAE 250 Dirhams. This is for the cheapest, most basic package.

If you want the all-day package, then the cost is US $136.98, or UAE 500 Dirhams.

And you all can see-for-yourselves in the above price chart some of the other plans.

So I did NOT enter Ski Dubai. BUT I did get some photos from afar.

Will I ever enter Ski Dubai. Maybe, BUT if I do it will have to be after I return from Oman. 

Can  you  believe  this  !!  Ski lift chair cars.

When I saw the overhead ski lifts I said to myself and to Ahad.. 

Now this, this is quite a deal.

From time-to-time, some one would come rocketing down the mini-luge course.

Now that you know what to look for, or now that you know what you are looking at, study the below photo of T.G.I. Fridays.

Just look straight through and you will see that T.G.I. Fridays borders on a window wall into Ski Dubai.

Now do you all see why we went into T.G.I. Fridays? So we would have access to their window wall into Ski Dubai!

What a deal! All because of Ahad! Wowie! The Dubai Metro.
