When I landed in Dubai on October the 1st, I did not snap even one single photograph of the Dubai International Airport, also known as DXB.
I did not take any photos because on my first ever visit to DXB I did not want to risk photographing things I should not photograph.
However, on my October 18th flight, I took a number of photos of DXB and want to post them for you.
Here we go loop-de-loop.
I was going to ride a bus and then the Dubai Metro to the Airport. I took a taxi instead. It was a good decision.
Disclaimer: I have a very special photographic lens filter called a 'Clean Photo Filter'. Using this special filter causes everything that I photograph to look excessively clean.
The thrill of International travel.
Yo my fellow Western male friends, "Can you imagine dealing with two or more wives?"
Oh yes they were all together. I saw them several times. Yes, I know, a second look at the same photo.
Too funny the below Camel venue.
This 'Clean Photo Lens' filter of mine is amazing isn't it? Have you all noticed that every thing at DXB looks just spotless!
B9 is my departure gate.
I was just over 2-hours early. Not one other person was at my Boarding Gate B9.
Lots to see. Lots to do.
Back to my departure gate B9. I have some company.
Muscat, Oman, here we come.
We all moved to a lower level boarding area after showing our passports and boarding passes upstairs.
Oh you most beautiful bird you gorgeous airliner.
I seem to win most of the time but sometimes I don't. An inboard aisle seat not my usual window seat. A 40-minute flight. No big deal.
Food? Food on a 40-minute flight? Oh yes.
The mixed fruits and nuts above was perhaps the best ever snack on any flight anywhere. It was a large package and just delicious.
I love the catchy phrase, MEI DUBAI.
The quiet little sandwich was like a Salsa Sandwich. He was yummy. A tad spicy!
We are now in Oman. A very pleasant flight.
I really like the below Muscat International Airport sign.
The .. Sultanate of Oman .. If you please kind Sir!
"No photos Sir." Can you see the man below coming at me? He meant business and so too did I. "Yes to you Sir. NO more photos Sir!"
Good news. I have an Oman Telephone sim card.
Bad news. Patti is not able to call me at my Oman phone number.
The Qurum Beach Hotel.
The beach in the Qurm area of Muscat.
And?
There you have it my Blogspot friends and followers.
Much Joy .. Cap
Not bad Captain. Not bad at all. Thank You Very Much!

My Muslim friends tell me, "Cap! One wife fights with you. Multiple wives fight with each other over you!"

Testing, testing, testing. Cap, I have not been able to get comments to post here or at your other site.
ReplyDeleteThanks for testing. I see this comment just fine. I sent Andrej an e-mail with copy to you about Dot.NET thinking is was only there you could not post comments. I miss your comments. Smiles. Cap
DeleteAha! So, the bird at your other site is a gull of some sort. The problem with more specific ID is that there are many gulls in the Middle East and they change color patterns as they age. My best guess would be an immature Great Black-backed gull. The beach looks wonderful, and gets nicer every time I look out my window and see snow. In your post about suicide, are my eyes deceiving me or are those sausages wrapped in bacon??? Your hotel in Oman looks wonderful. SO nice to see a hotel that is not cookie-cutter architecture. PS: I have attempted to leave comments for several days and none of them would post. Don't know if the problem is on your end or mine, though I suspect it is mine. All my info comes up in the comment section, so it recognizes my computer, but it still doesn't post.
ReplyDeleteI guess I would bet upon the bird being a 'Gull Family Member'. Its leg are longer than our common gulls. The legs looked sandpiper like to me but not its body. Ah computers and comments and you name it. YES. Sausages wrapped in bacon. Your eyes are correct. The beach is wonderful. Good to have your comment. Cap IN Muscat Oman
DeleteAStill unable to post a comment at your other site, so this is what I was trying to write:
ReplyDeleteI'll agree that Win-10 can be frustrating, but it's better than Win-8 which hid things that only a geek could find. Like Control Panel, for Pete's sakes. If you don't know how to do something, just Google the question. You'll get used to it quickly the more you use it.
I just put up a Post on Dot.NET OCT 21, 16 about me and Windows 10. I hope you will look it over. I pretty much wring it out about me and Windows 10. Again I hope you will check it out. Cheerio. Cap
DeletePS: Getting out in the fresh air and sunlight increases happy hormones. So does eating spicy foods and carbs. Watch your sugar intake as that can make the bottom fall out.
ReplyDeleteThanks. On Dot.NET OCT 21, 16 I got back into the suicide issue. YES I did a few things very right. Getting out, Just Getting Out, is a big help. Being around people, on the beach, on the sidewalk, in the restaurant, all break the tide of isolation. Carbs, I think I got a few carbs in my Giant Men's Breakfast. All The Best Gullible .. Cap
