This is especially true when we are giving something to a friend we know and not anonymously.
BUT even anonymous giving makes us feel good.
National Give Something Away Day encourages acts of generosity every July the 15th.
We have a 7 year old next door neighbor friend. One day she noticed Patti's collection of stuffed Teddy Bears! She was amazed and thrilled when Patti began to give her some of her (Patti's) Teddy Bears and other sweet little "treasures" like some small wind chimes.
When it comes to anonymous giving, we give a lot of items to our local Roman Catholic Church (The Bishop's Attic) Thrift Store.
Offering someone a "helping hand" is a donation.
