Hello to all of our readers of For What It's Worth (a/k/a dotnet and babakaps.net)..
Just like that, with absolutely no warning of any kind, when we ourselves went to our own website yesterday, Sunday, July 5th, 2026, we were greeted with the below image..
Andrej our webmaster advised that you DO NOT click onto any part of the below image that you get on your own smart phone.
Neither myself, nor our webmaster Andrej, have any idea whatsoever of "what is happening here"!
To make matters worse, Andrej who is located in the greater Detroit, Michigan, Metro Area, is not able to "get online" because of a major power outage affecting 300,000 or so people and businesses.
Andrej must "get online" because he cannot investigate the situation on his Smart Phone.
We..Are.. Stuck!
When we know something, we will let you know here on Google Blogspot.

Thanks so very much Kit for your support. In a worst case situation, we could "lose" the entire babakaps.net website. What to do remains a mystery until Andrej gets power and can get online. Cap and Patti
DeleteYep, that's exactly what I get. Hope your situation is resolved soon. In the meantime, the stress of keeping your "streak" alive has been settled through no fault of your own--should you want it to be so.

DeleteJuly 6, 9pm still down. On my laptop, it comes up as a blank screen. On my phone, it comes up exactly as you show above. I hope Andrej got his power back. It is no fun to be without power. Even worse to be without water.
ReplyDeleteThank.. You.. Kathleen.. For your comment. Andrej is not "due" to have his power restored until tomorrow, in the very late evening, Wednesday, July 8th!! Power and Water? You can store water, and we do just that using eight, 1 gallon plastic jugs. To some degree you can store power using "Power Blocks" which you know about. Again thanks Kathleen for your support!!
