Here are some photos I took on our 11-1/2 hour train trip on the Trans Siberian Express from Kraknoyarsk going West to Novosibirsk Russian Siberia.
We were in First Class coach number 9.
We were in Cabin 2.
More Russian. Below I can read :
Вагон sounds out as Vagon No. 09.
So we are in Vagon / Coach No. 09.
INSIDE of Vagon No. 9 it is a toasty +31°C or +88°F.
Below is what the aisle way outside of our cabin looked like.
At the far end of our Vagon were two necessary rooms.
If they look spotless, it is because they were spotless!
Looking the other direction up our aisle way from necessary rooms at the far end of our Vagon.
For a First Class Vagon it was a very small Cabin.
PECTOPAH in Russian means Restaurant.
Sound-it-out .. RESTORAN ..
Below is our PRETORAN on the train. Dining Car to many of us.
We did NOT eat in the above Dining Car.
NO! Our First Class meals were catered into our cabin.
Yes Oh Yes! Our dinners were indeed very good.
Time for a photo or two en route.
A stop en route.
МАРИИНСК.
It sounds out cleanly as MARIINSK.
Hello and Goodbye to you МАРИИНСК.
NOVOSIBIRSK!
Our Host. Meet Sergey!
Another adventure in Russian Siberia is beginning.

Nice 'ride' on the rain with you. Quite a meal that they brought right to your cabin. It DID look like a very small, snug room. Wide open spaces on your trip, lots of wide open spaces! Nice to be met with the gentle face and smile of Sergey. Hugs. Patti
ReplyDeleteSo happy you liked the ride on the train with us. So fun that, in real time as we were actually there, you were able to find МАРИИНСК (MARENSK) on one of Andrej's wonderful maps. Can I quote you thusly : Patti said there are a lot of wide open spaces in Russian Siberia! Yes Sergey is a real gentle gentleman for sure. Much Love .. Cap
DeletePretty nice train, Cap/
ReplyDeleteYes it was a very nice train. Surprising we had more room in 2nd class on the train from Abakan to Krasnoyarsk than we did in 1st class from Krasnoyarsk to Novosibirsk. Cap
DeleteCap, Thank you for the photos of your train and cabin. Looks comfortable and very clean. Happy travels, Gord
ReplyDeleteHappy you liked the post Gord. A fun experience for sure. With additional train trips about to happen starting this upcoming Sunday the 20th. Smiles .. Cap
