I am calling this PART I of Kodaikanal Tourist Attractions which is a 're-run' from 9 February 2012 when I was ON A TOUR FOR TOURISTS of Kodaikanal 'Tourist Attractions'.
So here-we-go 'Zilla! KODAIKANAL is in the mountains on the extreme west side of the Indian State named Tamil Nadu.
You asked about snow and skiing here. There are neither according to local residents.
'Kodai' is a Hill Station where people come to escape from the searing heat on the plains of India.
CROAKER'S WALK.
Croaker's Walk is a big .. don't miss .. tourist attraction here in Kodaikanal.
Last year .. 9 February 2012 .. the first-stop on our Tourist Attractions Tour was a stop at 'Croaker's Walk' .. a 'pay-for-a-view' of Kodaikanal. The cost is two-tiered. Tier I is for a walk only and is 5 Rs. Tier II is IF you have a camera with you then you pay 15 Rs!
One LT Croaker constructed the 1 KM walk in 1872.
So feast your eyes on some scenery as viewed from Kodai's 'Croaker's Walk'.
A little 'morning fog' ..
Oh My is this beautiful!
As we were driving around in our Kodaikanal Tourist Attractions Bus .. I snapped the below photo of Kodai's Hills.
This is a beautiful lake right in the center of Kodaikanal. There are an enormous number of cocessions and activities around Kodaikanal Lake.
The below photo was snapped when our Tour Bus stopped for a look down at Kodaikanal Lake.
I am planning to do a photo-shoot of Kodaikanal Lake before I leave on May 6th.
BRYANT PARK.
Here in Kodaikanal .. Bryant Park .. is a major park and Tourist Attraction. We visited Bryant Park on our tour. Below and in PART II are a few photos I snapped in Bryant Park.
PILLAR ROCKS.
Out-in-the-Fog someplace is a Tourist Attraction called Pillar Rocks. The fog denied us a view of the Pillar Rocks.
PAMBAR FALLS.
Pambar Falls is another Tourist Attraction in Kodaikanal. In April the water level is low so not much water was flowing down the Falls.
The above photos are some of my very best photos from my visit to Kodaikanal in February 2012.
Smiles! .. Cap ..
PART II of KODAIKANAL TOURIST ATTRACTIONS follows below.
I love the lake because it looks very clean. They seem to have maintained it well. It is such a great place to explore and I'm sure that there are still lots of undiscovered attractions there. :)
