APR 9, 13 .. MY ' SACRED ' CALF !

Always have your camera with you BECAUSE .. Photo Opportunities will present themselves! ..  Adaped from Field of Dreams..

I was out-early this morning about 6:30AM .. sitting alongside the roadway waiting for some Photo Opportunities to appear!

Well who should amble up to me but one of India's 'Sacred Calves'!

She was just out doing some morning grazing to start-her-day!  IF you will look very closely to the left of the below photo .. in the background across the other side of the roadway .. you can see our Calla Lily Patch (the green shrubbery with the white dots) .. AND a dog in the middle of the roadway scratching himself!



 

Do you see our Calla Lily Patch above to the left? The tiny white dots!


We two visited for awhile and then she ambled away from me up the roadway. I continued my Photo Opportunity watch. Then I looked up the roadway to see what she-was-up-to and ..


I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE WHERE SHE WAS AND WHAT SHE MIGHT HAVE BEEN DOING!



I jumped up and walked to where she was.  My worst fears were put-to-rest when I confirmed that she ..


.. was NOT eating any of our Calla Lilies! From the distance it looked like maybe she was! We had a little discussion and I 'encouraged' her to go across the road AWAY from our Calla Lily Patch.  She was a little-bit-miffed but agreed to do so!  

Look if-you-will at her 'body language'.

So I again sat down and waited for a Photo Opportunity.  

"Do I hear something?" .. "It's from the Calf!"

She has made-up a little 'ditty' for me!

"Bobba Caps .. I love to munch and chew! .. Bobba Caps .. I'm back to get a sniff of you!"

I MEAN .. DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THIS!


Do you all realize that .. Cap and Calf both start with the two letters Ca ?

    FYI: Calla lilies contain asparagine and oxalic acid and are highly toxic to humans and animals. Perhaps you did your good deed today by shooing the calf away.

      I WONDER HOW THE ANIMALS KNOW THIS .. DO YOU SUPPOSE THERE IS A BAD TASTE TO THEM AND THE ANIMALS SHY AWAY .. MAYBE THERE IS A BAD ODOR THAT THEY CAN SMELL .. AH THE MYSTERIES OF THIS WORLD .. THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENT .. CAP

    Love the pics Cap! We are getting more snow. Grrrr... I had just started to dig out my green house and John is chomping at the bit to get the farm started for the spring but the weather just doesn't want to cooperate. lol
