For the past three days .. Friday / Saturday / Sunday .. April 19th / 20th / 21st .. I have taken us on three 'walks' here in Kodaikanal. Each of the three walks 'have started' from a considerable distance down the main street from the top-of-the-hill here in downtown Kodaikanal.
Today I am going to take you from the top-of-the-hill down to the beginning of the above three walks that I sub-titled .. red-steps / quiet-road / the-long-way-home.
Here we go. In the below photo we are just coming to the top-of-the-hill.
In the photo below we are now standing at the-top-of-the-hill here in downtown Kodaikanal. On our right going down-the-hill is a literal 'Armada' of mini-van taxis!
Below is a view down-the-sidewalk. Notice FAMILY RESTAURANT on the left.
Here we are .. note on the right the taxi-row.

And from the main road view below .. we have come to the end of the line of taxis.

On our right is a walk-way that I have featured in a .. BE SAFE ! ? .. Post. Down the hill we continue. Notice the blue sign on the right ahead.
We have now come to the above blue sign. Now notice the tree in the distance on the right.
Here is our tree and the walk up to the Main Post Office in Kodaikanal on the right. Does the red and yellow post office sign look familiar to you all from my Post Office Post? Find the letter-box down on the lower right.

Now please get-with-me! I come here to the Main Post Office to mail YOU post cards. After I post my post cards I continue down-the-hill to eat breakfast at AL BAIQ! So this is the entire point of this series of four Posts. To show you my walk to the Main Post Office and then down-the-hill to AL BAIQ.
We are now AT the walk into the Post Office. Look ahead down the street to your left.
In the two photos below we look back up the hill from whence we have come.
"Dad! I'm the ATM guard-dog!"
The below is a shopping area off to the right from the main road we are walking down. My Vodafone Cell Phone Office is in this side-shopping-area. I really make this walk a lot!
Down we continue. Ahead of us is a truck un-loading its goods.
Here is our above truck.
In the below photo we are just-about to the junction with our walk down the red-steps (Friday the 19th) or our walk down the quiet-road (Saturday the 20th) or our walk the long-way-home (Sunday the 21st)! You can see it ahead on the left.
And on our right is our LANDMARK.
And here we are! Do you recognize the below view of our three-way junction?
The red-steps are to the immediate left .. the quiet-road is in the center .. and the long-way-home is straight ahead to the right.

MY LUCKY DAY .. on my way down I stopped in at my ICICI Bank ATM. There was NO ATM-DRAMA-TODAY.

Below I am going to show you a number of photos of the shops along the left side of the main road down-the-hill. I shot them 'at-random' and they have no particular 'meaning'. Just 'local ambiance and flavor'!

We are currently on-a-walk down the main road. On the left edge of the below photo will be (perhaps) a future walk. There are straight-down steps leading to who-knows-where!
A closer-look-down the above 'potential future walk' .. don't get dizzy on me looking down! Trust me! There ARE steps leading down.
Below we have a less-dramatic 'potential future-walk photo-shoot'' I HAVE walked this walk and it is a long and a fun walk.
