The Ashram is two blocks North from MOTHERS Guest House and two blocks East toward the Bay of Bengal.
Below are three photos of the Ashram.
I have been in .. and I have been out of .. and I have been 'around' .. MANY Ashrams during my 22+ years traveling here in India.
To this point-in-time .. my experience .. the Ashrams I have been around have all offered the members of the public or potential students a fairly wide range of study opportunities.
They have seemed .. in some .. NOT in all cases .. of being money-making enterprises.
One .. the Vipassana Institute in Jaipur .. is a no-fee enterprise. You attend and IF .. when finished .. you want to donate .. fine. IF not .. fine!
I could 'write-a-book' but will not start today!
I personally find it extremely ODD that this Ashram .. Sri Aurobindo Ashram .. does NOT have one single program of study .. of orientation .. of meditation instruction .. or of anything educational.
Oh My! .. Oh My! They DO a lot! They are about ACTION! They are VERY active in the local community.
They have guest houses and restaurants and travel agencies and medical facilities and .. they just have LOTS! And I truly admire and respect them.
I could 'write-a-book' but will not start today!

Oh yes 'Zilla! You can go inside and walk around. IF you know-your-way-around 'Zilla .. you can get a meal-pass and eat three (3) extremely healthy vegetarian meals for 40-cents TOTAL all three meals. Breakfast .. Lunch .. Dinner .. 40-cents bottom line! I speak from actual experience 'Zilla because I DO know my way around! Basic GOOD food! I deeply respect them.
